Twenty Four Postcards in May… Wait, What?!

Hello guys, today I’m gonna show you 24 postcards I received in May 2015. Yes, I’m not joking…and I’m speechless when I found out that I received so many cards last month. I’m blessed!

Here we go… It would be a very-very long post on my blog...

The first postcard is from Matthias in Germany. The postcard ID is DE-4158818.



He wrote me :
" Hi! I'm Matthias, a 25 years old PhD student from Germany. On my postcard you can see Frankfurt, Germany's 5th largest city with around 700,000 people. It also has a huge financial distric and at night it looks amazing. Best regards, Matthias."

The second postcard is from Domenico in Italy. The postcard ID is IT-314269.

The fourth postcard is from Bernadette in United States. The postcard ID is US-3349580.


She wrote me :
"Hi Saw, Greetings from the United States. I live in New Jersey with my family very close to Philadelphia, which is one of our most historic cities. Happy Postcrossing, Bernadette."


The fifth postcard is from Anastasiya in Belarus. The postcard ID is BY-1606774.



She wrote me :
"Greetings from Belarus! I am Nastya, I'm 21 and I am student too. I wish you success in learning languages (I think it very difficult). In our country the official language is Belorussian, but almost everyone speaks russian. On this card you can see the center of the capital - the city of Minsk (from left City Hall and the center - the Castle of the Virgin Mary). Happy Postcrossing!"

I thought it was a 3D card at the first sight then I realized that it was a painting. Thank you Nastya. It's beautiful! Happy Postcrossing dear!

The seventh postcard is from Denys in Ukraine. The postcard ID is UA-1287386.



He wrote me :

The tenth postcard is from Anna-Liisa in Finland. The postcard ID is FI-2380270.



She wrote me :
"Hello Saw, greetings from Finland. I'm Anna-Liisa from Kajaan. This is a small nice town. We have here a beautiful spring day, the sun is shining and the air warm. My hobbies are walking early in the morning, it may cheer you up. You are so young that I could be your grandmother! All the best to you!"

Hello grandma! I love your postcard. It made me really want to have a bike like those santas! Haha... :)


The eleventh postcard is from Wim and Tea in The Netherlands. The postcard ID is NL-2958996.

The twelfth postcard is from Daria in Russia. The postcard ID is RU-3640511.



She wrote me :
"Hello Saw! My name is Daria. I live in Moscow, this is an old view Cremlin. Good luck, Daria."

Hello Daria, this is the first old view postcard that I got. It's beautiful. Now my mind is travelling to 1896, wondering how was the daily life of the people on the card. :)


The thirteenth postcard is from Renee in Germany. The Postcard ID is DE-4182007.



He wrote me :
"Hello Saumi, greetings from Stade, a small town in north Germany. The city has 45,000 inhabitants. Stade was the first mentioned in a document from 994. Best wishes and Happy Postcrossing."

This card shows us everything about Stade! Cool!


The fourteenth to nineteenth postcard is from Traci in United States. The postcard ID is US-3258445.

I was surprise when I found a huge envelope inside my postbox. Traci sent me a package of 6 postcards and wrote something on each card. I really love what she wrote, so I will show you here.



She wrote :
"I love sending postcards to a new postcrossers. I hope you don't mind the envelope. This is the capitol building in Denver. The gold on the dome comes from Colorado gold mines. Inside there is marble, also mined in Colorado. It's a fairly traditional style US capitol building but still beautiful!"




She wrote :
"These waterfalls are stunning! I prefer them in their natural appearance in the daytime, but many people like the lights. You can hike up to the top, but have to be careful - the rocks can be very slippery where the water splashes them."



She wrote :
"Saw, the Rocky Mountains run from north to south through Colorado. They are very, very beautiful from up close or from distance. Hiking, picnics, fishing, birdwatching, driving through to see the scenic views and animals - anytime spent in the mountains is special!"



She wrote :
"I grew up in the small city of Longmont. This is gas station stood for many many years at a busy cornerr and was famous for its very large, delicious cinnamon rolls/ Now it's been moved, but some towns people are trying to restore and preserve it as a historical icon of the town."



She wrote :
"Since you like to cook, Saw, I lhought you might like these recipes. Now I spend most of my time in Texas with my daughter and four delightful grandchildren! I'm a very picky eater and I wouldn't eat these food but they are popular throughout America's southwest. You can see the influence of the Mexico in these recipes - most of the southwest was once part of Mexico."



She wrote :
"I've been trying really hard to see a living armadillo in Texas! I think they are one of the strangest mammals. They are nocturnal - so I've seen some that have been hit by cars. Texas is famous for its spring wildflowers - I can't wait to see them, as this is my first spring in Texas. I hope you enjoy the collection! Traci."

The last postcard is from Paola in Italy. The postcard ID is ITA-56.

That's it. That's all from me. Now I'm staying in my mom's house in Bogor during college holiday season and I left most of my postcard in my apartement in Depok. I only brought few of them, so that's why I forgot what they wrote to me. I'm so sorry, I will update this article very soon!
